Refund, Auto-Renewal & Cancellation

How owner subscriptions are billed, renewed, cancelled, and refunded.

01

1.0Overview

This policy applies to paid subscriptions purchased by property owners on the Platform. It does not apply to tenant accounts, which are free.

By starting a paid subscription you agree to the terms below in addition to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. All billing is handled by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

02

2.0Auto-Renewal

Your paid subscription renews automatically. At the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on the plan you chose), your subscription will renew for another period of the same length, and the same payment method will be charged the then-current price for that plan, until you cancel.

You can see your next billing date and the amount that will be charged on your Subscription page. You may turn off auto-renewal at any time using the cancel option there or in the Stripe-hosted customer portal.

03

3.0How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time, online, in the same place you signed up:

  • Open your Subscription page.
  • Click Manage Billing (Stripe-hosted customer portal) or Cancel Subscription (in-app).
  • Confirm the cancellation.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. You keep paid-tier access through that date; you will not be charged again. We do not require you to call us, email us, or wait for a representative.

This satisfies the FTC’s “Click-to-Cancel” rule (16 C.F.R. Part 425), which requires that cancellation be at least as simple as the method used to subscribe. Our signup is one online flow; our cancellation is one online flow.

04

4.0Refunds

General policy: subscription fees are non-refundable for the current billing period once charged. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the period you’re already paid through.

Exceptions we will consider:

  • A duplicate or accidental charge made within the last thirty (30) days, where you have not materially used the paid features.
  • A documented Platform outage that materially prevented use of paid features for a substantial portion of the billing period.
  • Refund or cancellation rights required by the law of the state where you reside (including any applicable cooling-off period).

To request a refund, email [email protected] from the email address on the account, with the date of the charge and a brief description. We aim to respond within ten (10) business days.

05

5.0Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. If we do, we will give you at least thirty (30) days’ advance written notice (by email to the address on your account) before the new price takes effect on your next renewal. The notice will state the current price, the new price, the date the new price takes effect, and how to cancel before that date if you do not want to renew at the new price.

06

6.0State Disclosures

California Residents (Automatic Renewal Law — Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 17600–17606). Your subscription will continue and automatically renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time using the online cancellation method described above. We will send you an acknowledgement after signup that summarises the cancellation method and the auto-renewal terms.

New York, Illinois, North Carolina, Vermont, and other states with automatic-renewal statutes. Where state law requires additional notice (for example, a renewal reminder before an annual plan renews), we provide that notice by email at least the statutory minimum number of days in advance.

Other state-specific rights. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer right you may have under the law of your state. If a provision of this policy is inconsistent with a non-waivable consumer protection in your state, the state law controls and the rest of this policy continues to apply.
